Participants must be between the ages of 10 and 20.
The number of participants is limited to 36.
If there are more than 36 applicants, admission will be determined by the order the registrations are received.
After the registration deadline all registrants will be informed in writing of the status of their admission or denial.
All applicants denied admission will be refunded their registration fee.
No refund will be given to admitted participants who do not show up for the competition.
The contestants are responsible for their own transportation, accommodation, and meals during the competition.
Upon request we are pleased to help you with organizing private accomodation.
The contestants will be divided in three age groups: division I from 10 to 13 years, division II from 14 to 16 years, and division III from 17 to 20 years.
The cut-off date for determining the appropriate division is November 21, 2020.
In each age group has to be played one obligatory piece and a free choice program from different eras, originating exclusively from the German-speaking world.
The maximum playing time is 10 minutes in category I, 12 minutes in category II and 15 minutes in category III.

The contestants shoud play pieces originating exclusively from the German-speaking world, or from composers who worked there predominantly.
A large list of possible repertoire gives orientation and helps to alleviate the way to the adequate music.

All performances are open to the public.
The prizewinners are obligated to participate in the final concert. The concert program will be determined by the jury.
The competition organizer reserves the right to record and release the performances and final concert.
The participants may not have rights to the recordings.
Registration must be completed online, the registration deadline is October 14, 2020.
